It’s the Landing That’s a Problem

When my kids were little, we were traipsing around Toys R Us one day and I got the brilliant idea to try the pogo stick. I mean, c’mon, I don’t remember that thing as being neither hard nor dangerous. Both of which it is, apparently. Because there I was, splayed out on the ground, in agony, as my two children screamed, “Mommy, Mommy, are you okay?”

Needless to say, you know what I answered once I could finally form words again.

“Let’s not mention this to Daddy, okay?”

So, in short, I’m not thinking I’m going to try these jumping stilts - courtesy of Ski Haus Sports & Cycleworks in Annapolis, MD - anytime soon.

And This Is Supposed to Give Me Peace of Mind?

I was literally not sure if this was for real. But I clicked through from Kudzu.com to the website for CarTopCamper and, no, it is not a joke. Apparently, this is a way long used on African safaris to sleep above the rocks, mud and critters. I don’t know about this. What do you think? Would you sleep in this? If so, I’d lay low on the beverages before going to bed if I were you.

Body by Fadi

My Fitness Solution, Duluth, GA
Okay, gang, we’re one month into the new year. How are ya’ doing on the New Year’s Resolutions? Hmmmm. Me, too. Let’s not beat ourselves up.

Here’s something you may enjoy. This video of “Fadi on the Street” shows fitness guru Fadi asking folks about their fitness goals. It is fascinating to me that when he asks them how they rate themselves on a scale of 1-10, most put themselves at about 6. Okay, so far, no surprise. But then he asks them what they’d like to be, and they say 9 or 9 ½. No one really wants to be a 10! Too hard to maintain. Too perfect. Now, doesn’t that take the pressure off a bit?
